About Us

In 1976 I started working for a Singer Sewing Machine dealer at Capitol Plaza.  I worked there for one year and then took a job with another sewing machine dealer in the area for another year. After two years of working in the business, I knew it was time to go out on my own. I purchased a small sewing and vacuum store in the old Allentown Mall in Camp Springs.  I set out with some very simple goals.

I wanted to be a resource for sewers in the area and have a strong presence in the area schools. I wanted to showcase all of the latest sewing machines and vacuum cleaners in a comfortable environment. We worked very hard to achieve these goals. We doubled the business every year for 5 years. We placed sewing machines in all of the school districts in the area. Along the way we earned many awards from major vendors for being one of largest sewing and vacuum stores in the country.

We constantly are retraining and staying up on all of the latest products.  We have award winning service departments for sewing machines and for vacuum cleaners.  We find and add the most current sewing aids and vacuum accessories to our store.  We have moved our location twice to expand and meet the needs of our customers.
