  • KID SEW – PAJAMA PARTY   Grades 3-7

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

     

    Veronica introduces your child to the wonderful world of sewing in this two-day workshop. Your child creates a simple ensemble to be ready for winter sleepovers.   Your child embellishes a T-shirt and makes a coordinating pillowcase and a pair of pajama bottoms.  This class is great for kids working on scout badges.  Prerequisite – KID SEW.

  • WOMEN’S CENTER SCARF WORKSHOP

    Instructor: Geri Ford

     

    Come join us for an afternoon of sewing and serging.  These fabulous scarves will be donated to the Women’s Cancer Center.  Bring your serger or try out one of ours.  Bring your own scissors or snip; otherwise no other supplies needed.

  • FIT FOR YOU - PANTS

    Instructor: Joyce Jackson

     

    Pants are basic to every wardrobe, but fitting them can be a challenge.  Joyce guides you through taking proper measurements, selecting the pattern, and altering the pattern to create that perfect fit.  You create a muslin master pattern that FITS you.

  • ZIPPER INSTALLATION

    Instructor: Jackie Arnold

     

    Are you confused about sewing in zippers?  Need some help?  Jackie teaches you how to install a centered zipper, a lapped zipper, and an invisible zipper.  You’ll be surprised how easy putting in a zipper can be.

  • INTERMEDIATE SEWING

    Instructor: Joyce Jackson

     

    Now for the next step!  Get personal attention learning new skills as you advance your sewing knowledge and experience with Joyce.  You select the project, and Joyce guides you through to completion.  Many students take this class again and again, selecting more challenging projects each time.  Teenagers are welcome.

  • BASIC SEWING

    Sewing is fun and you can do it!  Let Jackie or Veronica introduce you to the exciting and wonderful world of sewing.  Learn to sew a pair of pants or a skirt with an elastic waist that actually fits.  You also learn to make a matching tote bag to give you the basics of sewing for your home.  Teens are welcome.
