  • KIDSEW I

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

    Veronica introduces your child to the wonderful world of sewing in this three-part class. Your child learns the basics of sewing and using a sewing machine. Your child goes home with finished projects such as a pillow, a coin purse, a handy tissue holder, and other useful projects. This is a fun class that gives your child skills that will last a lifetime. This class is great for kids working on scout badges.  If your child has taken this class before, he or she may still sign up.  The class fee includes a kit fee valued at $20.00, so no need to shop for fabrics.

  • KIDSEW II

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

    Now that your child has learned the basics, it’s time to take the next step—making a skirt or a dress for the spring. Veronica teaches your child to follow a pattern, alter it to fit, and complete a garment that will make your child the envy of all her friends.  Prerequisite: KIDSEW I.

  • KIDSEW II – MAKING A TOTE BAG

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

    Learn from a pattern how to make a fun colorful tote bag to carry books to the library.  Veronica teaches your child to read and cut from a pattern and sew together this useful tote.  Prerequisite KIDSEW I.

  • New - TAKE IT TO CLASS BAG

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

    You can carry an 18" x 24" mat and 24" long ruler in this large bag.  Construct it with Jiffy Bias Binding and a removable zippered pouch.  This is a fun bag to make and take with you to class.

  • New THE WOW BAG

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

    This is a tote bag that expands to a double-sized duffle bag.  WOW!!!  Veronica guides you with ease in cutting the fabric and sewing this together.  How useful you will find this tote bag!  It transforms into a duffle bag when you travel or attend sewing or craft shows and need more space to carry items.  This is why we call it the WOW!!! bag!

  • BASIC SEWING II

    Now that you have down the basics, let’s try something a little more challenging.  Learn to make a simple blouse, shirt, or jacket from a pattern or a project that you have started and wanted to complete. Veronica shows you that collars, sleeves, buttonholes, and linings are easy to construct. Join the group, and sign up for this fun and informative class.  Many customers take this class again and again, selecting more challenging projects each time.  Teens are welcome.

  • BASIC SEWING I – MEN ONLY

    In this class you learn the basics of sewing, and you complete a project.  You make a pair of pajama pants with an elastic waist and a T-shirt. This is all about CONSTRUCTION, in this case using fabric.  Come join in on a new and adventurous way to hang out with the guys — learning to sew with Veronica.

  • BASIC SEWING I

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry, Jackie Arnold

    Completing a garment that you enjoy wearing is a fun and an exciting experience. Let Jackie or Veronica introduce you to basic sewing techniques. Begin with fabric preparation, and learn to construct garments using commercial patterns. Learn other useful sewing techniques when you sew a pair of pants or a skirt with an elastic waist that actually fits. Come on! You can do it! Teenagers are welcome.

  • BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO SEW

    This class is for first time sewers who need an experienced sewer help them understand how their sewing machines work. The instructor in this class also introduces the new sewer to tools and notions that make the sewing experience efficient, exciting, and rewarding. This class is for the very new beginner. Teens are welcome.  Bring your sewing machine to class.
