  • KID SEW II

    Instructor: Veronica Thomas-Cherry

     

    Grades 3 - 7: Now that your child has learned the basics, it’s time to take the next step—making a skirt or dress.  Veronica teaches your child to follow a pattern, alter it to fit, and complete a garment that will make them the envy of all their friends.  Prerequisite: KID SEW I  Supply List Needed

  • MARINER’S COMPASS WALLHANGING

    The Mariner’s Compass is a favorite quilt for that special man.  It looks so hard to do, but Cynthia’s paper piecing method makes it easy to create this intricate pattern  This wall-hanging is just breathtaking!   Supply list needed

  • FIT FOR YOU PANTS

    Instructor: Joyce Jackson

    Pants are basic to every wardrobe, but fitting them can be a challenge.  Joyce guides you through taking proper measurements, selecting the pattern, and altering the pattern to create that perfect fit.  You create a muslin master pattern that FITS you.  Supply list needed

  • HAND PAINTED PORTRAIT WORKSHOP

    Instructor: Cynthia Wilson

    -Painting portraits on fabric looks difficult, but Cynthia’s tried and true methods make it easy to create a beautiful fabric block.  Her hand-painted quilts are legendary and have been displayed in local art galleries and museums.  You too can create beautiful, life-like fabric portraits that will be treasured and admired by family and friends for years to come.  Bring a lunch to this one day workshop.  Supply list needed

  • LATTE QUILT BLOCK OF THE MONTH

    The Latte Quilt by Kerrie Hay is a spectacular machine embroidered quilt.  By making this quilt, you will learn perfect embroidery placement and how to make maximum use of all those decorative stitches on your high tech sewing machine.  Not interested in making a quilt?  These beautiful blocks also make great pillows, jacket backs, or tote bags.   • INTRO TO HAND APPLIQUE – BLOCK OF THE MONTH

    Baltimore album quilts are elegant and very popular.  Create a family heirloom with this block of the month project.  Learn many methods of appliqué such as needle-turn, reverse appliqué, ruching, bias work, fabric folding, etc.  Hand appliqué is a perfect take along project for all those hours at soccer games or for a relaxing evenings in front of the TV.  Supply list needed

  • RASPBERRY TRUFFLE QUILT

    This quilt looks complicated…but it’s not.  There are no Y-seams in this project, even though it looks like there are.  You will be surprised how fast this quilt is to create.  Cynthia will show you precision piecing.  Supply list needed

  • INTRODUCTION TO MACHINE APPLIQUE

    Learnthe basics of machine appliqué while making this lovely wall hanging.  Learn three different methods of machine appliqué in this fast paced, but fun class.  Supply list needed

  • BEGINNING LINGERIE – HALF SLIP

    It’s hard to find a slip to wear with that special dress that fits just right.  They are either too short or too long.  The slits are always in the wrong place.   What better way to learn how to handle and stitch delicate, stretchy, and often slippery fabric and laces than to create a lovely half slip.  You’ll want to make one in every color of the rainbow.  Supply list needed

  • EXPLORING BOBBINWORKS

    Bobbin-work makes decorative stitching an adventure.  Learn how to adjust your machine’s bobbin case to accommodate those heavy, but luxurious threads to create spectacular patterns and heirloom stitching.  Supply list needed

  • SERGER QUICKIE QUILT

  • THE PROFESSIONAL TOTE

    It’s back!  You’ll want one of these tote bags to help you through your busy days.  Bags like this retail for hundreds of dollars.  Pleated pockets on each side of the bag are perfect for water bottles, baby bottles, cell phones, etc.  A zippered pocket in the front safeguards your wallet, passport, airline tickets, anything valuable.  On the inside are dividers; plenty of room to hold even a laptop; pockets for business cards, keys, pens...and more.  This tote has just too many features to list.  Stop by and see it for yourself.  Supply list needed

  • LOG CABIN QUILT

    A Log Cabin quilt is a time-honored and traditional quilt that will be sure to become an treasured heirloom in your house.  It looks intricate and time consuming, but with Cynthia’s method of paper piecing, you too can create this beautiful quilt.  You will learn the basics of paper piece quilt construction so you can create amazingly complex patterns and blocks.  Try it, you’ll love it!  Supply list needed

  • LONE STAR WALLHANGING

    Instructor: Cynthia York

    The Lone Star quilt is an intricate block and makes a beautiful and breathtaking center medallion for any quilt.  It looks really hard, but Cynthia shows you how to create a block with perfect seams that lies perfectly flat.  You will just love creating this beautiful wallhanging and Cynthia will show you how easily it goes together.  Supply list needed

  • BEGINNING QUILTING – NINE-PATCH

    Instructor: Cynthia York

    Learn to use a rotary cutter with a cutting mat cut straight strips, sew a ¼ inch seam, and piece a 9-pathc block.  Finish the quilt by making the quilt sandwich and binding the quilt.  From start to completion, Cynthia helps you gain the knowledge and skills to construct this machine pieced quilt.  Supply list needed

  • JACKET BASICS – UNLINED JACKET

    Learn the basics of sewing a wonderful lightweight summer jacket.  It’s the perfect addition to your wardrobe.  Joyce will show you how easy it is to create collars and pockets for that beautiful jacket.  This class is even for the advanced sewer who just wants to create a more professional looking jacket. Supply list needed

  • ZIPPER INSTALLATION

    Are you confused about sewing in zippers?  Need some help?  Jackie teaches you how to install a centered zipper, a lapped zipper, and an invisible zipper.  You’ll be surprised how easy putting in a zipper can be.  Supply list needed

    Now that you’ve had the basics, let’s try something a little more challenging.  Learn to make a simple blouse, shirt, or jacket from a pattern or a project that you have started and wanted to complete.  Veronica shows you that collars, sleeves, buttonholes, and linings are easy to construct.  Join the group and sign up for this fun and informative class.  Manny customers take this class again and again, selecting more challenging projects each time.  Supply list needed
